The intention for my blog is to bring you floral advice, gardening and floral care tips, and keep you updated on the current trends in the floral design industry.
A little more about me…
Hi, I’m Celeste! Owner and Floral Designer of Elegance of Nature Floral Design Studio. I would like to share a little bit about my journey as a florist and how I started my own business. I have always had a passion for gardening and art so naturally I thought that studying landscape design would be a great career path. Although I enjoyed the course and learning about the field, after three years I discovered it wasn’t the right type of creativity for me. I had a real passion for working directly with flowers and moved on to complete a full time retail florist course through Seneca College. There, I competed in student competitions, and enjoyed learning everything I could about the industry. I now have over ten years of floral design experience, I have worked for various flower shops and event companies and created wedding designs for friends and family in between.
After years of trying to figure out what I’d like to do for a living and a few jobs in between, I finally decided to make it on my own as a florist! This was not a decision I made overnight, of course I always had it in the back of my mind but never thought I could actually do it. With the encouragement of family, friends and coworkers I was able to find the strength and courage that yes I can do this and I will!
So far it has taken a lot of learning, hard work, dedication and confidence for me to create this business and it has never felt so right. I am so happy with the decision I have made and excited to bring you a unique and elegant style to the floral design industry here in Orillia Ontario.
My studio is located on our property in the quaint, historical community of Marchmont, ON. Which is just slightly north of Orillia, ON. I am open by appoint and during special occasions, Christmas, Valentines, Mother’s Day, etc. I am open for all of your floral design needs, simply give me a call, message or email to place your order. A few days notice is always appreciated. If you are in the area please stop by my studio I would love to have you!
